I was watching Into The Spider-verse and Gravity Falls and turned it on, and they both looked fantastic. I know it gives it an uncanny valley look, as if the product is being filmed, but I like it.

I also had it on when I was watching Shameless and The Walking Dead, I don't know, it's weird, I enjoy the "fake" frames. I also don't get a lot of ghosting either.

If everything was shot at 60FPS people wouldn't think it is weird. People are just very used to the film standard of 24FPS. That said, when modern TVs automatically convert movies to 60FPS they look like shit because they were not originally shot at 60FPS.

That said the use of varying FPS in Into the Spider-verse was great since it showed the skill difference in the different versions of Spider-man. That's why Miles looks like he is fighting in slow motion for most of the movie compared to the other characters.
