The media machine knows Trump makes them money now. I do not think he will be leaving the public eye anytime soon, even after he's out of the White House. Unfortunately. The only solution you can rely on is yourself. You choose what news and media to follow. You can always filter Trump out of your feed.

They can't ever get enough Trump, doesn't matter what he's doing, they want to cover it. If he's gone, their viewership will lower quite a lot. Biden is just uninteresting so they want to cover Trump as much as possible still.
