If handhelds count, probably Pokemon Diamond / Pearl as someone mentioned. Or Mario Kart DS.
If not, it'd be Gears of War I think. Most of my online play was on PC before that, particularly with Diablo II, Counter-Strike, Soldier of Fortune 2 and a few others. I played Unreal Tournament on LAN in school too. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Forgot whether it was a Halo Reach or Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, but I bought myself an Xbox 360, Xbox Live, and a few games for Christmas 2010 and that was the first time I played online not on PC.

Funny enough I played in a guild with another GameFAQs mod, red13n, even though we didn't really know each other before or after FF11, just was more of a coincidence than anything. My playtime was something ridiculous as well, but that was only because I never logged off. I would idle somewhere when I wasn't playing. The game was the tits.
