No you. There needs to be one. That being said, the president doesn't have the authority to order one, that shit is up to the individual states. So states not filled with morons will eventually lock down again, while those of us in states filled with anti-science, anti-expertise, and anti-intellectual rednecks will continue to watch our friends and family get sick or in some cases die from something that could have been avoided with semi-competent leadership.

Ok, I just watched it again, and he says open up safely, smartly, and fund people, and he mentions flexi glass, but what did he mean exactly by that? Keep people in plastic cubicles and keep them home and not at work until everyone has funding? What happens to businesses until then?

If you think about it, people can't work, they can't buy food. They can't buy food, they go on food stamps. They go on food stamps, it means more free food. If more people get free food, it means a shortage in the grocery stores. If there's a shortage in the grocery stores, it causes panic.

Also, he said the spike was in the red states and that's not true. California and New York have both had it really bad. New York had the highest rates in the country earlier this year.

Also, the spikes are happening in red states. You're conflating what happened at the start of the virus with what's happening now. Texas got hit significantly later than California did, and yet they have the most cases of Covid in the US. They were the first to get over 1 million, despite California being more populous. But his point was that Trump only wants to focus on the bad that happens in Blue states, when the problem is it's a crisis in ALL states. California, Texas, Michigan, Florida, Ohio, etc. We have a problem as a nation. It's not politics. It's American lives at stake.

But he can't fix what Trump already broke and is trying to break even more.

The odds of things being settled is about 0% for late January. The question then becomes, is there a point and how far off is availability of the vaccine.

I think for people who are being quarantined due to potential covid exposure, yeah. Theres people who have to stay in hotels for 2 weeks and arent allowed out of the room.

Basically dont travel unless you have to. Be smart
