I'm 4 episodes in. So far I'd say the Animaniacs content is a slam dunk, but the Pinky and the Brain content is meh. I think there's a good chance I'd feel the same way if I went back to the original, though.

Only one joke so far that felt pretty cringe, and that was Leeroy Jenkins in P&B

Honestly I just wanted to give them money for a month but they seem inclined to require me to take a one month free trial with my credit card on file for a sub that i'll inevitably have to cancel before being charged.

Only watched two episodes but the reference humor being more understandable and timely is really fucking me up more than I thought it would. I do give the first episode a pass since that was the point, although Kanye with Trump in the tablet bit sent me to another place of existence but stuff in ep2 like the cyclops and the aforementioned P&B joke is surreal in ways I dont know if I like yet.

Also too soon to say but after watching a few of the first season episodes earlier in the week and confirming that yes, that shit DOES hold up, the animation does not seem nearly as expressive. But that's a high bar and you can tell they at least tried.

I think I'm on episode 6 or 6. Pinky and the Brain has picked up a lot as well after the first few week segments.

Thats fair, I have to rewatch the old stuff more. I'm sure the reboot will be more consistent. It's more noticeable on the intro which is pretty close but definitely less punchy than the original.

It's not bad, it's likely just cognitive dissonance from them trying to adhere so exactly to the originals that any difference sticks out. Versus something like Ducktales 2017 which can just do its own thing and look damn good doing it.

I got maybe 5 episodes in. It's pretty good, but as the animaniacs said themselves, they're doing a lot of the heavy lifting wheras there used to be a huge cast of different characters. the chicken boo reveal made me incredibly happy though.

I'm not sure if it's because the election is over but this also is the first piece of media that makes fun of trump in a way that made me laugh since... well it's been a while. It felt like a 90s clinton joke.

Oh the episode is back up now but they've edited the gag. But...instead of just changing the phone number they took ALL the text out so it's just a blue void instead of a fake infomercial ad screen. I'm sure that was easier to do for some reason but still looks weird!

Seems like it could be a stopgap just to get the episode back up quickly, and theyll edit it again later to actually do the screen over again with a safe number

Tiny Toon Adventures was a lot more all over the place. One studio went tits-up after animating three eps of that show.
