Found out my coworker is slipping melatonin into her sons water without his knowledge so he sleeps at night. Hes like 12 or something.
This rubbed me the wrong way, I think that is fucked up. Drugging your kid at night. So I got home and did a quick Google search and saw this - And that made me more concerned If this is something she shouldnt be done, I have to report it since Im a mandatory reporter and hes a student --- ... What if they were slipping them a multi-vitamin? That would also be drugging the kid without their consent.
Would that have raised red flags also, or is it only melatonin that is concerning? ... Copied to Clipboard!

Alright, thanks. I'll think more on it. Like I said, it just rubbed my the wrong way, like, why the fuck are you drugging your kid's water? If she was like, "here, take this because it will help you sleep better," then okay. But she's doing it without him knowing.
Our boss was there with us when she was talking about it, and I called her out on it but she just got really defensive. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

I mean, that's drugging a kid to make him easier for yourself to handle. I don't know, I don't have kids. I don't even really know what melatonin is. That's why I did a Google search and it says that's it not recommended for kids and teens because it could be harmful. I don't think daily vitamins are harm them --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

She should probably be talking to the kids pediatrician and getting their recommendations if the kid is having that much trouble going to sleep.
If she isnt communicating or seeing a doctor for that, then its possible the kid could have other issues that arent being diagnosed or treated (medical neglect). --- Posted from my iPhone 8 ... Copied to Clipboard!

It's a sleep aid, it doesn't knock you out.
It is sold on the vitamin aisle of your grocery store or pharmacy, maybe go read a bottle before you do something that could fuck up someone's life. This is insane. --- ........the ghost in the machine... IGN: Fox, FC: 5344-2646-0982 ... Copied to Clipboard!
