The hdmi port on my ps4 is kinda messed up.

I might be able to get a picture or even login, but it's going to be hard to see what I'm doing assuming it doesn't break all the way before I get my ps5 (I can't play it but I've gotten so close that I wonder if I should keep trying or say oh well till I can get a ps5)

I can maybe get it to display here or there again (I hope) so when I get my ps5 will this be a problem at all?

I can turn the ps4 on but not get any picture unless I get lucky it seems so will I need to spends money to get this fixed immediately, or can I do most from my ps5?

I don't get why you would even need your PS4. Aren't the games just played off your PSN account and/or inserting PS4 discs into the PS5? All I can think of that would need your PS4 is transferring saves, which I assume is done through PS+. If you had it when you last used it your saves should be backed up waiting for you assuming you get PS+ again.

It still turns on, according to the internet I mostly just need to log in and be on for my saves?

If you have PS+ and sign in that should be enough to have it backup your saves.

I don't wanna pay around the 50 to 150 it'll take to fix it until I really have to

All I know is I never told my PS4 to back up my saves but I signed into my account on another PS4 once and was able to access my saves. I also did crossplay with my Vita in the same save without ever telling it to back it up, but I have had PS+ that whole time.
