All the big PS5 games right now are still avail on PS4.
And these games on PS5 honestly doesn't look like they have much diff graphics from the PS4. Spider-man Miles Morales is the only good looking one in my opnion but it's just the same game engine they're using so it looks equally as good on the PS4 too

even if PS5 exclusives come out, might as well wait till then when the console drops in price.

Well for one, being able to play last gen and current gen games in 4K is a real treat. Also, lots of games run at 60fps on it. Last gen games and PS5 games seem to have a 60fps mode and dynamic 4K resolution mode. Not to mention, ray tracing and super fast loading.

Most pc gamers currently do not have a rig that can do what the PS5 does, especially at $500.

Both next gen consoles are beasts!!

My PS4 is pretty much a blow dryer at this point. I'd rather play my PS4 games on a quieter, cooler machine with shorter loading times and better performance.

pretty much only if you really care about graphics or playing a remake of a ps3 game. right now it doesn't seem like there's much for me to play on it, still trying to clear some of my backlog

maybe if you somehow skipped the ps4 and want it for the BC it might be worth it with the new games that should be coming out

Its literally all for Demons Souls. Ive poured thousands of hours into the Souls series, but never did get to play DeS whenever it had an active online community.

As someone who doesn't care about graphics at all, I kinda agree. Like, I see the point if you always want the new system right away, but I'd rather wait a year or two till the Pro version is out and fixes all the bugs.

I don't even have a TV that supports 4k, so what'd be the point? Lol. Plus, to me, I see very little difference in the graphics between the PS4 and PS5. When I get a PS5 it'll be because the PS4 isn't being supported much anymore and there's games I might want.

But frankly, I've learned my lesson over the years to not buy new consoles until the second version comes out, usually 2ish years into the cycle, with all the bugs worked out and a bigger(and cheaper) library available to play.

I'm sure there are some folks who are legitimately upgrading from generations-old hardware, but by and large I think status is driving the sales

If you have an OG Playstation 4 or Xbox One I can see upgrading now. But if you have a 4 Pro or One X you don't need to.

I'm on a slim ps4, no reason to upgrade. Let others beta test the new shit and I'll wait until a few years. Besides, I can't afford brand new games all the time right now as it is, need to wait for cheaper games.

Never upgrading to Pro definitely saved me $300, now that were to next gen and my OG held up the entire run. Honestly, can you ask for more fron a system than to make the full gen sprint? Of course it would be awesome for it to live on for years to come. But I'm definitely happy I got one that made it through the entire gen. Especially when there was a few years that it was on damn near 5000 hours >_>. I used it for every app.

I was gonna get one eventually anyways, and my PS4 keeps disconnecting from the internet every 5 minutes which makes playing online or downloading things impossible. Figured I might as well take the plunge now.

I've been watching spiderman gameplay and i can tell the huge difference. Same with NBA2K and these are launch titles. Of course they are going to be held back by previous console limitations but its not hard to see the improvements

Dude, the diff between PS3 and PS2 graphics were enormous. The diff between PS4 and PS3 was also very significant.
