the "sell by" date is mostly for merchants, as long as you kept it under 42 degrees Fahrenheit and there are no obvious signs of spoilage, youre good

Nah, pretty sure it wasn't spoiled but I ended up not liking the flavor. Put it back in the fridge in case anyone else in the house wants it today

I've eaten yogurt that was expired by almost a year (long story). It was open, but properly re-contained and refrigerated.

[ It had a thin top layer of blue mold, like some cheeses do, but it was fine underneath. ]
