I might be too picky but this show seems kind of average so far with some pretty stupid moments. Like in S1 Ep6 where that fat old guy sends Mando and those other 4 assholes to rescue the guy off the prison ship. When they get back the fat guy is happy to have his friend rescued but seems unaffected at all that his other 4 friends presumably died during the mission, THEN as Mando is leaving fat guy tries to kill him I gues because he actually was upset about his other friends not making it back but I didn't really get that from watching and it just seemed like a poorly laid out nonsense scene. It's Saturday mornings cartoons quality at times and not in a good way. Just real basic stuff that doesn't always make sense.

Yeah it can be dumb like that sometimes. And thats one of my favorite episodes of the series, but its marred by weird scenes like that. Thankfully the final 2 episodes of the season seem to take themselves more seriously.

Why are you so triggered over someone's opinion of a show.

I think it's been my favorite one so far and I was really into it up until Mando sneaks up on the Twilek girl and bald asshole guy and the scene just cuts away instead of us getting to see him beat them up. They were huge douchebags and I wanted to see them get what they deserve. I guess being trapped on an abandoned ship and dehydrating to death is acceptable too though and a lot more kid friendly since kids won't actually comprehend that that's what is going to happen to them.

I don't take it seriously, it's basically Samurai Jack. Some episodes are goofy, some serious, some emotional. All just fun

But I do agree it does commit some bullshit movie tropes at times

It feels like a spiritual successor to the cartoon shows imo. And hopefully the quality increases over time like those shows. That's kind of my current expectation.

But in the same vein, I hope it keeps the "don't take this too seriously" tone of the cartoon series as well.

At the end of the day its Star Wars, and the show embraces that warts and all

like, I for one am loving all the puppet character work in this even though it looks less realistic in many cases

I think the puppets look better even when you can tell it's a puppet

CGI movements are wildly exaggerated. Animals don't move like that, they have more muted movements like a puppet

Yeah if it would drift a bit closer to Clone Wars I think I'd like it. It already looks and sounds beautiful but the so-so acting and some of the scenes can be a bit jarring for something that otherwise looks very high budget.

Yes, I'd say it's "just okay".
