dotsdfe 11/16/20 4:30:51 PM #12:	I'm unemployed after losing my job due to COVID, I can't seem to find anything else, I'm realizing that my degree is goddamn useless after I naively thought it had some value, I feel like I'm already too old to go back to school to get something better, I'm single, my health isn't great but I can't afford to go to the doctor, and I've had issues with anxiety and depression for most of my life. I'd really, really like to just find a good job now and not worry about it. I made the dumbass mistake of majoring in English, though. I've always enjoyed writing, and I thought I could find a solid job in either journalism or something like copywriting. I've had no luck getting my foot in the door beyond low paying freelance work, though, and it's setting in that my degree is utterly valueless. I spend my entire day working, either from an actual job, looking after kids (often while working a full time job), cleaning the house/laundry or doing DIY. Im basically a single parent before 9am, unless its a weekend 10am, because my wife refuses to get up to help with the kids. Meanwhile, Im lucky if I get 6 hours of sleep. If it werent for the kids (one of whom is autistic and cannot talk) and my crippling debt from having a mortgage and kids, Id be gone. I have no time for myself, unless Im grocery shopping. Doesnt really matter because most hobbies require some amount of money, which I dont have after bills and necessities.
