We know Thanksgiving is essentially cancelled. Now it's looking like Christmas will have to be celebrated within households only. With the way things are going, I can't imagine that inter-household celebrations will be allowed.

Move out of the major cities. That's where all of the BS and tyranny is, Thanksgiving isn't cancelled where I live.

I'm leaning toward skipping Thanksgiving and seeing what happens there before deciding anything.

Too many people not realizing that a 98% survival rate means it kills 1 in 50 for my taste.

My family is going to try to do all the Christmas shopping online and my mom already got the stuff for thanksgiving, so we wont have to rush out. We may not be able to randomly browse stores to look for gifts, but I would rather have fewer gifts and have my family alive and healthy. We only do a four-person get togethers, though, so its not like we have twenty guests.

Go ahead, gather your entire family together in a confined space. Chances are, one of you will be an asymptomatic carrier.

This doesn't matter if different households are involved.

Okay, go ahead and tell your grandma that there's no Christmas gatherings this year.
Go on, do it and see what happens.

You cancel Christmas, you prove Fox News right. Do you really want to live in a world where Tucker Carlson is actually correct about something?

I would honestly not mind a small Christmas with just my lady and our animals. No family gathering obligations.

Its my parents in one house and my brother and me in another. If anyone feels sick, we wont do it. Ive taken the virus more seriously than many people, so its not like Im out at bars every night and stuff. I work at home and shop at night when there are barely any people there, which is pretty much the extent of what I do now. You cant go forever without potentially exposing yourself to the virus. All you can do is be careful and I take a lot of vitamins now.

People are most contagious before showing symptoms. "Feeling sick" is not a good indicator. If you must though, the best thing to do is get a test and isolate. Remember it's not just about you, you could help spread the virus to people who spread it to others and so on, many of those will die.
