I swear this is some of my favorite online entertainment lately. These players complain about EVERYTHING lmfao. And the localized Pokemon Go pages get hilariously personal at times, over shit like someone not sending gifts often enough.

My favorite moment was when they released the red eggs recently, and the fanbase went ballistic because Trubbish was in them. You'd have thought Niantic committed a war crime...

Honorable mention to the people who panhandle Niantic for new shinies whenever they post.

Thing about fanbases, is the chill people who play the game aren't the ones you're gonna see. It's the whole chill way. Pokemon Go players being generalized is the worst and most harmful generalization anyone has ever made. We're just trying to live.

Oh yeah, I play this game daily and don't think social media reflects all Pokemon Go fans. I just think it has the funniest "crazies in the fanbase," hence this thread. Compare the PoGo loonies to the Smash Bros. loonies, who are just depressing as hell instead of funny.

The 12k eggs launched last month iirc. Stockpile them and wait for an "reduced egg distance" event, it's so much easier to get the exclusive Pokemon that way.

You also get them from defeating go rocket grunts and bosses

Bosses only, not grunts. But they're guaranteed (perhaps barring connection issues) if you have egg+Pokemon space.

Also give double the stardust of a 10km egg, so queuing up a batch for a star piece run is great.

hmm this is good to know. My rocket blimp thing only does bosses now and I've avoided after I failed a few times and got pissed off at it. I guess I will try again. (edit: bosses means "leaders" right?)

I quit before covid because I didn't like the way the game was heading and it's only gotten worse. Yeah, you have people who complain disproportionately about a game, but that doesn't make their complaints invalid. The monetization and reward schedule of the game has changed massively in the last year even disregarding the covid changes.
