Whenever a thread pops up on another site addressing fetish origins, I see many of the same pics and clips that were in shows from my childhood. Stuff like Kaa hypnotizing Mogli in The Jungle Book, the muscle girl competition from Tiny Toon Adventures, Penny from Inspector Gadget all tied up, or any of the countless furry girls of the 80s, 90s, and 00s.

Muscular women are neither here nor there. They don't turn me on. They don't gross me out. But I'm grateful I didn't develop a thing for 12 year old girls getting tied up or 10 year old boys being hypnotized. I rewatched The Jungle Book last year and that whole scene seemed oddly seductive.

On the other hand, I'm not really in a spot to kinkshame...

Most of the time I can understand why it happens. Now, to be clear, by "understand" I mean that I comprehend the event(s) that fosters a fetish, and not that I think they're totally fine and cool (because there are fetishes that make me recoil with a "Yikes!"). A kid who is nearing puberty watches a cartoon and has their first hint of a sexual awakening when they see a character making an expression that the developing brain interprets as a mating call. So now they got the hots for Robin Hood or Gadget.

What puzzles me more are the more outlandish ones, such as vore, body inflation, choking, and scat (ew). They seem incongrous, illogical. I honestly cannot understand how they come to be.
Perhaps I shouldn't want to understand! Morbid curiosity will scar my mind, I swear...
