I have a loose muffler, muffler itself is fine it's just handing low and taps speedbumps. I'm completely lost with anything care related.

  • What major automotive chains would do this type of work?
  • About how much would it cost to resecure?
  • Is it something a shop would be able to do on the spot forgoing schedule conflicts?

Last time i had that happen to me they just replaced a metal strip that held the muffler up and it didn't take too long at all.

Although the price could be more if there's any damage to the muffler itself

Just buy a couple simple metal hose clamps like....

and just secure it to the frame yourself, take you 3 mins.

This is generally how it'll go, but older cars might not have that same kind of set up and can require more work. I don't remember how much the shop charged me when i needed it done to my corolla, it couldn't have been that much because i don't think i lost sleep over it.
