To see what my favorite anchor had to say
He was talking about them socialists
How they wanted to take my freedoms away

So I joined the Anti-Socialist Coalition
Got my badge in the mail, got my uniform at Party City

The most important thing, they said,
Was that socialists love the color red
When I saw it, all I had to do
Was ask if they had paid their dues
Make sure their check was in the mail

I started looking everywhere I could
I knew I was gonna get them real good
I threw out anything of mine that was red
Damn socialists made me throw out my bed
No socialists in my closet, or my bathtub, or my silverware drawer
Ill have to keep an eye on my American flag, though
Were the stripes always that color?

My yard was fine after I took the time
To cut my roses and paint them white
Those socialists got a hit in, though
A thorn pricked me on every rose
How did they do that?
Make something pretty so painful?

I couldnt believe it when one finally came
I saw the red shirt from a mile away
He ringed my doorbell and I snuck out the back
I couldnt wait to use my shotgun at last
It was the pizza guy
I forgot Id ordered The Hut

I decided to look out on the street
And this man with a clipboard came up to me
He talked about free healthcare and education
I said that sounds great! Where do I sign up for that situation?
He had a blue shirt on so I knew I could trust him
Later he kept going on about marks (Marx) and class struggle
Poor guy must have been struggling in his gun safety course

After a long days work Id headed home
Still scared down to the bone
I banged my head on my door going in
And looked to see red blood on my skin
Oh no!
How did they convert me?
I knew I couldnt trust that pizza guy!
