Like a 32 inch HD TV from Samsung is somehow as expensive as a 50 inch 4k TV from LG or whatever. How the fuck does this pricing work

CE I need help. I need a decent TV no bigger than 50 inches but I am battered by price Ns tech differences

I think LG is typically cheaper than Samsung. I like the software in LG TVs better than Samsung TVs, though.

Its maddening because the pricing isn't marginal, its like $100 cheaper but somehow it has more features and the same specs. I worry I'm missing something crucial

I usually just chalk it up to paying for the name because I don't understand TVs or their specs at all.

Dunno, but just wanted to add that a thin af 55 inch Samsung TV I bought in 2011 lasted a good 9 years only to be taken out by a surge during a lightning storm. Yeah it was connected to a surge protector ;_;

That thing was a trooper and survived moving to 3 different states over the years. Hoping the Sony I replaced it with is also just as reliable.
