If you knew anything about standards then you would understand why people think 1080p is blurry.

If you only fuck with 5/10 girls then a 6 would be considered amazing for you. If you only fuck with 10/10 girls then a 6 would be considered unfuckable for you. The same standards still applies with resolutions. _

I remember when I first sat close to my TV with somewhat current gen. I was playing Bloodborne and recall being blown away by the texture detail.

it depends on

1) size of the screen
2) distance you are away from the screen.

my 21 inch monitor looks great in 1080, but my 27 inch does not.

my 55 inch tv looks fine in 1080 when i was 10feet away, but my new house set up has it way closer and 1080 looks like the poop.

It depends on your screen resolution as well. 1080p native on a 1080p screen will look better on 1080p on a 4K display where the upscaling will start to create noticeable artifacts.

Either way, 1440p looks considerably clearer on a 4K display. Once you start a good bit above that, it becomes more and more difficult to tell between something like 1800p and a full 2160p. Dynamic res is very effective at those upper bound resolutions imo, where it kinda looks like shit in something like the Xenoblade for the Switch with considerably lower resolutions.

For my personal tastes, basically anything north of 720p is fine to play. 4K is very nice though.
