Seems to be about 8 hours to get through the story and the new cutscenes don't show up until the end everything else is more of a recap of everything Kingdom Hearts up to that point

I actually am pretty excited for this one. Theatrhythm FF Curtain Call is one of my all time favorite games. And I love Kingdom Hearts. I really hope the song selection is solid.

I've been ready for this game since Curtain Call came out. Plus I played the shit out of the demo, so I'm insanely hyped.

Also in confused as to why people are saying it's 80 dollars. Is there a special edition or something?

So this game's awesome, I don't know why people are so negative on it.

I guess it's simply because I enjoy rhythm games and love Kingdom Hearts music but I'm having a blast. The other fluff doesn't really matter to me (I don't care for the item and synthesizing system, and I still don't quite really understand what exp points and guest partners do), just playing through the KH songs I've listened to so much on Proud is hella fun. I think there's a lot of rhythm games where you don't know every song that well and can take a while to enjoy it, but every song here is so ingrained in me I can play them almost perfectly first try. Even difficult songs like Hollow Bastion or The 13th Struggle are so much fun because I can follow the difficult timing and notes so easily due to my familiarity with the songs. I'm really enjoying it.

Yeah I'm also having a blast, once you get used to some of the extra mechanics like jumping and gliding it becomes a ton of fun. Especially if you know the songs really well.

I mean, it's worth the price for how much I'm enjoying it. Unless there's only going to be a small number of songs it might be an issue, but I just finished KH1 and that by itself felt pretty expansive. It had almost every world and their accompanying music in it (minus Deep Jungle of course).

As far as production values go, I disagree. I think there's a lot of effort put into this compared to other rhythm games. I love seeing the different backgrounds for each world. Considering each world has like two songs at the most (not to mention changing the scenery depending on the song) it's a lot of variety in the visuals. And the nature of hitting enemies is a lot more vibrant and interesting visually than just simple notes. And that's not getting into the variety of play styles. The Boss Battle was really cool, and I liked seeing how it changes depending on what characters you select. The only issue I could see is that it's basically all reused assets, but who cares? It's a spinoff and the game itself is visually well done.

I'm holding off buying just because KH3 plummeted in price so quickly after I paid the full 50 for it on launch day.

So now watch this one hold its value forever, or turn out to have supply issues that cause preowned prices to skyrocket

I think if I had a complaint it would be the lack of playable characters. Like you o ly have 4 preset teams, plus the guest Disney characters. It'd be nice to at least be able to rearrange the teams.

I enjoyed Curtain Call and I love Kingdom Hearts, so I'm down for this, even if the demo did take a little getting used to. I'm not going to buy it just yet though, since I just bought Crash Bandicoot 4 recently. Maybe I'll get it around Christmas time.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the reviews. I got the impression that Kingdom Hearts was a love-it-or-hate-it series that the majority hated, especially after Kingdom Hearts 3 acted as a jumping-off point for anyone who had lost interest in the series but still persevered for the sake of finding out how it ended. Combined with this game being a tough sell even for the fans before the demo won them over, I thought reviews like this one would be the norm, rather than the exception.

I'm enjoying it very much, I'm almost done with KH1. It didn't take too long to get into a pattern and headspace for it. Playing it on PS5 and love the almost no load times between failing lol.

Okay, I didn't realize until now that I've never heard the 358/2 Days Neverland music. I stopped playing before getting to that part and as far as I know they've never reappeared in the series again.

Really enjoying this. About halfway through the World Tour mode now. Haven't gotten stuck on any objectives yet which is nice so I have full stars so far. Very fun game.

Yeah I finally got stuck yesterday with one of those "Hit all Star Targets with Excellent rating on Proud mode" missions. There are 3 sets of star targets in this song and the best I could do yesterday 8/9. The worst part is that it's always a different target I'm getting a Nice rating on. Star Targets definitely my least favorite mission

Just completed world tour mode. Finished every mission as well so I have every star.

Suppose I should try the vs battles at some point but I'm pretty happy with what I got out of this game at this point. Ended with 12 and a half hours of play time.

Just finished KH1. Man the boss battles are weird. It's the only song I haven't completed yet cause I can't hit every simultaneous note :(

Started the KH2 stuff today. Really enjoying all of it so far.

I had some trouble on the first boss until I realized that the yellow arrow notes are just moving your stick, you don't have a press a button with it.

I just finished everything last night, all stars in story mode. Not sure if I'll be playing it much anymore but my final time was 14 hours and it was fun.

Oh yeah I already kinda got used to it but the fact that the ship control is 8 directional instead of analog is super fucking weird and I dislike it.

Okay, I've never noticed before that the song "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" has that weird little stagger right before the first, and ONLY the first time the "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo" part happens but it RUINED me every time. Like I felt so... off every time I missed it.

Started playing now that I finished the CS4 platinum

the hardest part for my brain in this game is on Proud mode songs where it plays the music video and you have to hold a green note while hitting red and yellow notes simultaneously

The music video ones in general I find way more difficult. I still haven't managed to beat Simple & Clean <_<
