Worse in the sense that more cases are being reported, but the death toll is really low compared to March. We only get about one to two reported deaths a week compared to one to two a day during our peak.

My town didn't get our first COVID case until April. We're much worse now. COVID deniers are rampant in this redneck shit hole I live in. Mask wearing has improved, though.

we're well into the second wave, all the elementary and high schools pretty much fully reopened in september and cases have been spiking since. my particular area is still doing ok for case numbers but i wouldn't want to be anywhere near toronto right now. thankfully at least people are pretty good about wearing masks from what i've seen
