Been messing around with this game lately. I bought it when it came out and hated it at first. It's still not great but I guess my standards have lowered. It's not bad. Trying to hold off getting legion and waiting for cyberpunk. Kind of surprising there aren't more modern open world games with driving outside of this and GTA and mafia really. I guess Rockstar and Ubisoft really have a stranglehold on these kind of games.

The screen tearing is terrible on standard ps4. Other than that more fun than GTA in ways. Yeah I was going to get legion but just started playing this instead. I wish there were more games like this that kind of pushed the envelope a bit more. I don't think this game is it. It's alright. Maybe a 6 or 7 game. Syndicate was bad imo..

The gameplay was kinda meh but I loved the attention to detail in the world, how vibrant and lively it was, how they captured so much of San Francisco. And little things like starting gang wars was pretty cool.

GTA V runs great on current gen systems and the city is just as alive imo. It's just kind of boring after a while. I think this game mixes things up better if you don't try to do every little detail ubisoft scatters around. Most of the side stuff gets really repetitive if you do that. I'm just playing the main story and messing around in the open world and it's more enjoyable that way. Graphically it looks as good as legion imo. Legion might have slightly better graphics but london vs california san fran seems more alive like you said I don't mind gritty or alive though. Ether way. The 1st one was more gritty but the game just sucked. I was sort of hoping Legion was better.

I love GTA 5, too. There's also a lot of smaller details in Rockstar games for sure, but I think they tend to be much more subtle. WD2 encourages you to seek out these things with that one phone app that shows you where nearby sights are.

Kind of curious to see about Legion, will probably buy it on sale. Don't need any more distractions than I already have >_>

I really enjoyed it. Exploring the world is a blast and using your little gadgets and hacks to fuck with NPCs is great. Plus you can tackle situations differently depending on how you want to play with the number of powers and gadgets you have.

My only real problem is that the main narrative is paced poorly. Feels kinda like they just quickly strung some major story beats together without much in-between. Also it's goofy that you can just straight up murder folks when you're supposed to be like a "hacktivist" who's just helping the little guy against big corps.

Oh yeah screwing with NPCs was fun. I remember going to the college campus, getting some chick arrested, then hacking the police car right as they put her in the back so it just took off lmao

I really liked Watch Dogs 2. Honestly it works best if you go non-lethal and stealth for the game.

Yeah it's funny. You can tell the game plot isn't designed around Marcus killing people. They should have been courageous enough to just embrace it since there's non-lethal versions of most guns anyway but I guess they didn't want to scare off the GTA crowd.

the game is kind of weird all the way around but if you can kind of glance over that. I need guns. I'm more surprised they don't do more with these open world settings and modern and all of that. Budgets and certain companies controlling it I guess. The game is not great but it's kind of fun. Most fun I've had in a ubisoft game of late.

There's like a taser grenade launcher that is so overpowered and doesn't attract as much wanted level attention since it's non-lethal that's fun to use. Can basically run out and blitz anyone who's in the way. Doesn't even have splash damage against Marcus IIRC.

Took me a while to figure out there was more than just the default handgun taser lol.
