A thought: Wouldn't this force him to be more of a figurehead more then anything? As he wont even have the majority of the votes in the Senate.

Can they can make DC a state with a 50/50 split? You know, the objectively morally correct thing to do that only democrats push for because Republicans would have a harder time taking the house and senate if the did it.
