ry. If you want to be vaccinated that is...

Too many vaccine candidates coming soon and they all want to target the same people first. Eventually there's going to be many unused vaccines that they have to start giving them away to the average joe sooner than later

Mmm. Skeptical. Elderly first, then down the chain of vulnerability, illness and compromised immune systems. Healthy people under 40 (which I am not) aren't gonna see it for a couple months after that, I think.

Thats really optimistic right? Companies are only promising 100m by the end the year globally and this is before theyre approved by government regulators. Manufacturing and distribution of new vaccine In not sure how that works. And I would guess theyre going prioritize shots to front line workers and elderly. So I am thinking maybe 500m-700m in your time frame... there over 7b on Earth hopefully more than half opt in on the vaccine idk if thats possible or what this is a crazy conversation we are having

Honestly they should give it to the essential workers who have been working this whole time as a reward ( if they chose to take it) and free to them ofc

Seems way too optimistic. Production is one thing, but logistics and priority are going to be a mess, especially during the expected severity of winter.

Almost 60% of people wouldnt want to get it when its available, according to a survey.

https://www.webmd.com/lung/news/20200806/only-42-percent-would-get-vaccinated-against-covid

When it becomes available theres probably going to be a lot of refusals & dumbass anti-vaxxer-type rhetoric about holding off or waiting to see how the vaccine turns out.

Nothing dumb about wanting to be safe with a new type of vaccine that's been rushed to the market.

That said, gimme that shit asap.

Why is it dumbass to wait and make sure the vaccine is safe before agreeing to it? I think they've gotten this WAY too fast when they were originally saying it could take years to get a working vaccine.

@DK9292

Because there's 15000+ people who took the vaccine already and they haven't had any side effects for about half a year so far.

Has there ever been a vaccine that had bad side effects show up AFTER a year of taking it? Seems like it's safe to me
