After seeing my mom get a virus just from casually browsing facebook and playing facebook games, not even clicking sus links or downloading anything off-site, I don't care how much you want me to whitelist your stupid site. --- The name is wackyteen for a reason. yes, obviously it hurts sites when they're not generating sweet sweet adbux
but... but. ads are a fucking nightmare. they range from just obtrusive like pop-ups, slide-ins, flashers, etc... to full on hijackers that stop you from browsing normally until they are dealt with. they are designed to be as annoying and difficult to remove as possible, and the people seeking to generate rev need to do a better job policing the types of ads they allow onto their sites. i've seen porn ads here on gamefaqs in the past lol once ads are no longer obtrusive and are reasonable in filesize i will enable on sites that i browse. until then, not happening. ... Nope, websites including this one have no qualm with using ad providers that are well known for spreading malware.

yes, obviously it hurts sites when they're not generating sweet sweet adbuxI've saved over 12.5 GB of data with Brave mobile browser in the past 30 days alone. <_< I only really browse fucking gamefaqs. Now imagine I have limited data instead of unlimited data and i only had mobile data and no wifi. I used to pay $80 for 12 GB back in 2016. that'd be my full data limit ON ADS --- The name is wackyteen for a reason. Never doubt. ... Copied to Clipboard!

It is not morally wrong but I actually do white list sites that don't have cancer for ads.
Whatever SBAllen did I haven't seen one of those fucking ass fuck piece of fucking fuck home depot mobile ads in years so he's doing a good job I guess? The ads on GameFAQs are super unobtrusive now. --- It says right here in Matthew 16:4 "Jesus doth not need a giant Mecha." https://imgur.com/dQgC4kv ... Copied to Clipboard!

Morality doesn't really come into it I feel.
But I 100% support the use of it and will advocate everyone does it. Ads can slow down your experience, take up data, have viruses or fil your computer with malware etc. Sure, it might mean the business/site makes less money but maybe if they didn't make the experience of ads so awful/dangerous people wouldn't block them. --- ... Morality? What's moral about seeing an ad? Ads are there so that you can buy their products. Maybe ethics is the word you're looking for? In that case, the ethical onus is on the advertisers, not us.

I'll turn my adblocker off once the advertisers pay for my unlimited cell service plan. That shit uses too much data otherwise.
