That's true. I guess it seems on par with other Assassin's Creed games. I thought that Origin and Odyssey had been rated higher.

It all goes back to Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Game sucked ass and impacted Ubisoft's reputation so they delayed Watch Dogs Legion and Immortals: Rise of Fenix. I guess from there they wanted all of their games to be there for that next gen launch window where software sales tend to boosted a bit.

Watch Dogs Legion and Valhalla both still sound like they're very buggy so I dunno lol

They don't sound like outright disasters I suppose. To be fair WD and AC are releasing on like 9 different SKU's and 3 of them are launch hardware so they've got a lot going on.

Bought ACV this morning but haven't played it. Played WDL most of the weekend until the latest patch turned it into a mess that crashes when you do anything.

Hopefully they can find a blend of each, because I like the more open aspects of Origins and Odyssey, but the actual timeframes of each, with the complete lack of actual Assassins in Assassin's Creed, has been so disappointing, along with the lack of one hit stealth kills, social stealth, and whatnot

Valhalla is, from what I've read, a culmination of what they've been going for in Origins and Odyssey, but they have made changes fans of the older games will like, by bringing back social stealth and one-hit kills. My understanding is that there isn't a leveling system anymore?

I believe they changed the leveling system to a gear oriented system (which makes it sound like Breakpoint... which was a really dumb system).

legion is mediocre and buggy as hell but I can't imagine vahalla being much better

Yeah. Remember how in the original you could hold a button to blend in with a crowd of scholars or something to pass through guarded gates? Or in at least all the way through the Ezio trilogy to break chases you could stand inside a small group, or sit on a bench to blend in and lose guards. Those elements have all been missing. Fuck, in Odyssey you couldn't even jump into hay bales! They were technically in the game but only existed as landing spots from leaps of faith and you would automatically exit then immediately

This also led to stuff like mission based assassinations where you could dash from crowd to crowd to get close to your target, or sit on a bench, wait for them to walk by, then kill them and stash their body on it and escape unnoticed
