With the Pfizer vaccine looking promising, the rise of stocks in the travel industry and the decline of stocks in the tech industry, seems like people are ready to move on, even as cases are surging.

And this isn't just the U.S. mind you, cases are exploding all over the world, spreading like wildfire within every community with no end in sight.

I agree. This could have side effects that dont show up until later.

Also, it doesnt seem to me like anyone is over it. The case numbers in my state are blowing up and theyre also going up all over the country. We probably need another lockdown.

We're still fucked. The vaccine isn't ready yet, not distributed, a significant portion of the population don't give a fuck about others and won't take it (just like any other precaution), and we still have anti-science leadership.

Yeah, for a German company that didn't take any money from the US government vaccine development program and presumably has no stake in who wins a foreign election.

The vaccine is probably fine. 25,000,000 doses for 8,000,000,000 people is an issue

Because it's not as deadly as it once was. The death rate for people hospitalized used to be 30%, now it's 3%.

Pfizer?
I misspoke. Funded by Germany, not a German company.
