We're now getting over 100,000 cases per day and hospitalizations spiking all over the place. We still have people downplaying the pandemic as if it's a hoax or "just as bad as the flu" even though the flu doesn't put this many people in the hospital, nor does it kill as much as covid has.
Seems like it just doesn't matter. The white house is having repeated outbreaks. The white house says they aren't even trying to control it. People are going out in huge crowds celebrating Biden getting elected, although the vast majority of them do at least wear masks. I still feel like it isn't worth trying to "finding out" how effective masks are in that scenario by risking your own health. Can't safely hang out with friends. Can't do crossfit any more without risking my health. Fuck, man. Now the virus is spreading faster than ever. I hate this shit. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

Just look at Japan, their new cases are only 1,000 per day. Their population density is far more than America's. They didn't have to shut down. They wear masks because it's good manners.

Hang in there. I only found out that in the US, there are 100,000 cases a day from watching election news coverage. That's absolutely insane. For comparison, in my country we have ~3000 cases a day and when we hit 4000 cases a day this week, it was a new record. Of course, Canada's population is a smaller than the US. I think I would be stressed out too if I were in the US. COVID anxiety is real.
