Also the tail end of the series is pretty much the "David Is Gay" show. Leslie and Ben from Parks and Rec might be the best hetero comparison in recent years? Although ironically enough I think Stevie and Johnny's relationship was the best one in Schitt's Creek. Their mentor/mentee dynamic is so underrated.
