That's the only reason gen 1 was somewhat challenging. It had some stupid level jumps toward toward the end that could be hard to keep up with if you try to have 6 pokemon around the same level

If they somehow revamp the system of which types are weak or strong against what then the games would be harder. As it stands right now you can easily defeat someones entire party by using a single pokemon and exploiting weaknesses. Its kind of boring at this point.

Nothing wrong with adding some grinding, as long as its disguised as side quests. It doesnt work now where you just god stomp the entire game, going straight down the fastest path to finish. I can count on 1 hand how many times I even had a Pokmon faint in a battle throughout all of Pokmon sword

They need to make the gym leaders/elite four have parties besides just mono type teams so you can't just pick one pokemon that is strong against all of them and sweep them. Have some of the later ones have like a trick room team or a weather team or something so you actually have to put in some thought besides "Oh they only use fire pokemon? I'm gonna spam surf!"

I agree. Also gym leaders and E4 shouldnt have single type teams. They should have themed teams but not single type. We could have like a hyper offense gym, a sand gym, a trick room gym etc.
