I was actually looking into valerian root a while back for sleep I get Natures Way brand, which is what my local store carries. Its all pretty much the same across brands, but for capsules Id note that freeze dried is the way to go, as with most other capsule-based roots, herbs etc. Freeze dried will be more potent and generally faster acting. For tinctures, all that really matters is the strength itself.
