Ever since Trump came to power. I know a lot of Americans themselves aren't overly keen on Trump, but in the eyes of people from Europe, the rest of North America, and such, America has largely lost credibility.

But somehow, many Americans don't seem bothered by this. Of course, you could say that Americans have never cared much about what happens outside of their borders.

Remember that tweet about how high % of each country in Europe favored Biden over Trump if it were up to them, and Ben Shapiro retweeted it saying "This is an excellent reason to not vote for Biden."

There is the Republican mentality right there. Ethnocentrism to the point of "We have to have the opposite opinion every country because only America doesn't suck," and that is basically the kind of logic they base every decision and belief on.

Like it or not, were globalized. As much as certain people might like to stick their heads in the sand and shout America First!, were all in this together, and that makes our relationships with our allies more and more important every day, especially with the looming threat of China.

i know about globalization i just don't care what parisians think of the country

Problem with Trump is that he doesn't know how to pull a sneak attack or betrayal on whoever.

Exposes his intentions too much.

As an American I've come to realize over the past year how unimaginably selfish we are. It will be our downfall as a superpower and leader of the world.

wait a minute is TC saying that we lost so much credibility because we haven't started any new wars in the last 4 years?
because that might make some sense
