agreed. i cant imagine a situation where things were set better to ride a wave against the biggest fuckup on the planet, but instead of any sort of charismatic populist they sent mr magoo in to propose we move to the most boring and limited presidency imaginable
it was worth it for the hilarity that trump is most likely going to be the first one term president since HW, but republicans set up the cushiest environment for themselves imaginable and nothing is going to be changed for the forseeable future thanks to how poorly this election went. if biden does win, i cant imagine the dems holding the exec for more than a term before getting squashed by some blood drunk lunatic or another who effortlessly points out they've done jack shit for four years --- I pray god will curse the writer, as the writer has cursed the world with this beautiful, stupendous creation, terrible in its simplicity, irresistible in truth ... How many people voted for Trump for the sole reason they don't want to be told to wear masks or stay at home? America has a history of demanding personal freedom at the expense of literally everything else.
