I think she could definitely win if she maintains her current trajectory. That being said, shed actually have to want the job.

We often ponder who could become President and dont consider that they might not want to throw their hat in the ring in the first place.

I half wonder if anybody legit thinks as opposed to everybody flatout trolling like the tc.

From a technical standpoint, anybody could become president. From a practical standpoint, very few people will have have a realistic shot. And AOC is so fringe that she'd be unelectable in most districts, let alone be able to make a serious presidential bid. However, if she's in politics another 20 years and moves from the lunatic fringe, it's entirely impossible.

For starters, they're in high profile positions and running for president would make it harder for them to hold onto those positions of leadership.

It's the same reason everyone does anything in politics in this country. Money. You get elected president and it's the last job you'll ever have. You stay in Congress, the sweet lobbyist kickbacks stay rolling in.

There's also the power angle, you could make a case that the Senate Majority Leader is the more power than POTUS. Just look at how obstructionist they were during the Obama years, and then how with a Republican president everything that got done was McConnell's agena, He's been planning this since the failed Bork hearings back in the 80's.

Just because y'all in here say "Obama wasn't well known" because you are 22 years old and don't remember politics before 2012 does not make it true.

Obama won Illinois Senates seat in 2004 and Michelle was on stage with him back then. Obama gave a large, rousing speech at the 2006 DNC and was a front-line speaker that night.

Just because you were 14 back in 2006 and were not into Politics does not mean you can come into here and say "Obama was not well known".
