PITTSBURGH (WPIX) - A strange school assignment has a Pittsburgh mother upset and she wants the person who assigned it fired.
Brianha Grant shared a screenshot of a homework assignment her second-grade daughter received this week, asking her to post a photo of her underwear or to describe her underwear online.

...the district is aware of a questionable activity assigned by an educator as part of a class reading of the Halloween-themed book Creepy Pair of Underwear.

EDIT: I am aware there's a wandering 'a' in the title. GameFAQS said the title was blank but it really wasn't...

Looks like a woman, but the point remains.

also calling a librarian an educator is a really dumb call on the schools part.

How do people think they wouldn't get caught doing something like this? I would want the person who assigned this investigated, not just fired.

"I could care less" means you care right now.
The proper phrase is "I couldn't care less."

It says to describe "how it acts"

So it sounds like it's a Captain Underpants assignment where they had to draw some creepy living underpants and post a picture of the drawing

Most likely. I hope
yeah it is missing some context. If they were told beforehand to draw a pair of creepy underwear after reading a story that would change the story here. Hopefully the case

That is very true. People jumping the gun again, myself included.

According to the article, they did read a book about a creepy haunted underwear. It was a female librarian who assigned it as a follow-up activity to the book.

My assumption is that it was likely an old lady librarian during story time having the kids do a silly activity and, being new to online education, was oblivious to how creepy the assignment sounds.

When I was a teaching assistant a while back, I recall a similar situation with a teacher and a kindergarten class, but it was in person. The kids read a story about a magical clothes drawer and the socks and underwear came alive at night to go on adventures. The kids were asked to draw a picture of the story in class.

I'm willing to believe this situation was likely less malicious and more ignorant. No guarantees, though.
