I promise I'm not writing about this to play devil's advocate or whatever but it IS interesting how I've now seen maybe 15 or so articles pop up on various feeds about the awful terror attack in the church but somehow never saw this one.

Maybe it's coincidence, but it also wasn't widely reported.

Edit: Should note that the women survived the attack, but in a surge of escalating tensions its odd that a story like this gets less coverage to me.

Also I saw this on the need so maybe you just werent looking out.

Another terrorist attack and beheading after the teacher's beheading just going to get more attention than another hate crime, no matter how related they likely are.

I was speaking more about the observable difference in media coverage for two similar events more than the actual crimes themselves

True but a hate crime/attempted murder during an escalating tension is significant enough, I was just surprised I didn't see it at all

I do keep an eye on the news but maybe the problem is where I get my news. I was surprised to not see this in gaurdian, the telegraph or even on reddit whatsoever. Even more surprised to see it only on the metro and the dailymail after searching.

Whereas right now I can't jump to a single news site without the church attack dominating every junket

Yes something you can survive is always better. But no violence at all is even better still. I condemn all hate attacks committed by anyone.
