I am tired of seeing all of these homebodies whose social lives consisted of sitting on their ass and watching Dancing with the Stars and Blue Bloods or shitposting stuff in social media suddenly develop a variety of hobbies that necessarily imply them going out everyday.

Look at Karen over here, ever since the pandemic starter she became an avid day stroller, restaurant conossieur and bingo player! But she didn't do any of that before the pandemic! Fuck you karen.

it's true. pandemic fatigue is causing them to go out and enjoy life again. while infecting themselves and others.

those who go out will end up getting infected and maybe die.
if they decide not to wear a mask.

I literally went to vegas man. People are bored. Europe's numbers are proving that complete lockdowns didn't work. The only success story is New Zealand and their population / density are one of the few places where that is actually feasible. We tried to lock down and it barely worked.

Do I think the people who say "stay inside and do nothing" have a point? Yes, I do. But it's not going to work and we just have to accept that people are going to do what they want.

Bottom line is, live your life how you want, but for now, at least have the decency to wear a mask. That part of it shouldn't be such a controversial item.

south korea and japan literally shit all over america's response to covid, and their population density averages higher then the majority of the US. and this holds true for several european countries too. and no, screaming about cases going up now, when they were always going to go back up during flu season, isn't an argument against their earlier success.

the real issue is the dunderfucks in the US and the complete lack of support from the federal government. those other countries that actually did their job and contained covid? they did so because their people weren't fucking stupid enough to go partying when they were sick, and their government actually invested resources into dealing with the issue.

in america? people scream that masks are tyranny. that covid is a liberal hoax. and that it will just disappear or that its already been beaten. and they say this, because the president says all of that is true... the same president, who has systematically kneecapped the covid response from day 1...

so you say you went to vegas? well that was fucking stupid of you. but you know what? it wouldn't have been so bad if 40% of the country weren't petulant man-children and the president hadn't gutted a systematic federal pandemic response. we'd have had months of isolated and contained cases instead of the steady growth we've shown the whole summer.

but yeah, gov'ment ain't gonna force me to breath my own breath by wearing a mask!
