The people that are currently part of his administration are entirely inadequate in terms of being able to calculate a narrative big enough to counter all the terrible shit that's been going on in this country over the past year. The hunter biden thing is a blatant HER EMAILZ rerun, and that works fine when nothing else is really going on at the moment, but covid is far outweighing any other issue at the moment. And even if it wasn't i'm actually kind of curious how much anyone except those shackled to the republican party would really care? We've spent the last 4 years seeing scandal after scandal after scandal appear and then just get swallowed up into the news cycle after a week or two because nothing sticks to trump. You're seeing this in other places too with stuff like cal cunningham in NC cheating on his wife and it not really noticeably affecting the polls for him. I don't know if I buy the story of Hunter leaving the laptop at a shop and forgetting it. But he was also on crack, so who knows. To me, the smear against the emails seems to point to the media trying to shuffle it away from view because they are desperate to drag Joe across the finishing line.
