The atmosphere is so unique and foreboding and I personally loved the voice acting, especially for the Innsmouth people themselves. No one has even bothered to try and replicate it but it's menacing and matches the description HPL made. As far as I'm concerned you get through the hotel chase sequence then uninstall the game. Don't think I've played the video game though. this I was able to play the rpg once. but it was with some idiots and the game got ruined due to stupidity. combination of strict by the rules dungeon master who never throws the players a bone and doesnt care if they die, and mixed with fellow players who made dumb decisions and got the whole party killed in our first combat encounter. the game seems like it could be fun but my experience was annoying. basically everyone but me bought a bunch of dynomite and then we met a giant bug in the woods and they tried to blow it up but blew us up instead.
