now he's trying to reach out to my CEO, and he can if he can manage to figure it out or get someone to tell him. he's exactly the political type to do that

I doubt this would get me fired but I'm cynical as hell. I hate this job anyway. My org manager who hired me but is now a couple steps above me is trying to manage the fallout but told me I can't do stuff like this. I've been trying to get out of this job for over a year and maybe it's time I commit fully and accept that I may have to take some risks.

well my CEO is the wealthiest man in the world for a million employee company so I doubt he would be dragged into this. he has a whole team that responds to people who write to his publicly known email address and investigates each case that isn't obviously a joke.
