I notice on showdown my speed resets to default when I dynamoax even if Im holding a choice scarf

My understanding is choice items stop working when dynamaxed, but choice scarf *might* work on the first turn of a dynamax.

Essentially, choice items don't really do anything during the dynamax. You are unlocked upon dynamaxing, but if you used a move before you dynamaxed you'll be locked back into that move when the dynamax wears off. --- What's the difference between a pickpocket and a peeping tom? yeah unlocking from choiced moves while maxed was a big problem is smogon singles, its partly why it got banned
