i sure hope a $2000 laptop / pc would crush a $500 console.

120fps at 4K is pretty hard to top

Performance at 4K.

Yikes.

But I guess it's something that a laptop can 100% max Gears 5 even at 30fps at 4K

Honestly the best part is that it doesn't look like a gaming laptop at all. It's basically a black MacBook.

To be fair, consoles are typically sold at a loss. The cost is probably closer to what some top range PCs are built for.

Hey, a few days ago you gave me some advice on laptops but the posts seem to have purged.

Could you recommend me some gaming laptops on a budget? I'm not looking to run the best of the best, but running Skyrim special edition and other modern rpgs is what I'm looking for and my current one isn't doing the job. I'd really appreciate your input, thanks

What's your opinion on the Acer nitro 5?

This:

https://www.amazon.com/Acer-i7-9750H-MaxxAudio-Keyboard-AN515-54-728C/dp/B08777BH1B/

There's no other laptop I can find that comes anywhere near as close to those specs for under $1000

It's also a non Max-Q RTX 2060, which puts it near the performance of the 2070 MQ.

In other words, you get all games above 60fps at 1080p (easily) on a 144 Hz screen where you can use it. And you get raytracing and DLSS.

If you had to choose a 1660 Ti laptop for $800 (the typical price for an i5 and 1660 Ti) or an i7-9750H w/ RTX 2060, i's absolutely worth the price differential.

Frankly, you can barely build a gaming desktop with similar performance at that price.
