This popcorn isn't that good, it's just ok

...

Ok, I'm trying to follow the online tutorials to make theatre style popcorn and they usually come down to 3 main things; Use a surface popper instead of an air popper, use coconut oil instead of vegetable oil, and use popcorn seasoning salt

Now, I already had a surface popper (or rather my parents did), so this time I used coconut oil... and well, tastes pretty regular. I do get a slight coconut aftertaste instead of a slight margarine aftertaste, so at these that's doing... something. But not sure if that's better or worse.

I don't have the seasoning salt... and some videos also use butter flavoured oil as well

I think humidity might be a key factor 'cuz this coconut oil popcorn after a day on the counter tastes just like theatre popcorn that's been out in a bag for a day
