I can't stop playing Monster Hunter World! From morning to evening, i can spend the whole day playing this one game. I'm sitting at 1700+ hours and i'm still not bored. My gf is super lenient about it and doesn't really care that i spend so much time on it.

What qualifies as an actual addiction? I like to think that it's my safe space in these fucked up coronavirus times, there's a semi lockdown where i'm from so it's kinda recommended to stay inside.

My brother had an ex wife that was addicted to WoW. Stay at home mom to about 6 kids at the time (2 were his, think she's up to 8 total now I lost count) but she would play basically all day. He would have to cook and clean when he got home and get kids ready for school and bed

All while she would come up with excuses about how she had WoW friends that needed her help lmao

back then, i taught myself to wake up early just to have more game time no matter what time i slept the night before

now, i'm always waking up early and i really just want to sleep :(

Once it impacts more important aspects of your life negatively. Now, if you stop right there, you're good. it's when you stop caring about the other aspects. It's like any other addiction in that way; if you can just walk away without feeling "withdrawl", you're good.
