I saw it mentioned earlier this year very briefly and didnt really get talked about.

It was a random topic about something else, I dont ever remember hearing anything before or after that though. That brief mention was the first I had heard and now this is the 2nd.

Just watched another video of cops arresting someone. The guy being arrested was begging for his life saying "you'e gonna kill me! You're gonna kill me!" Cops said "you're gonna be okay".

They killed him...

This is the case where the cops gave Daniel extremely conflicting directions that were physically impossible to follow and then riddled him with bullets for no reason. They panicked and fucked up really bad. Then the cop who murdered him got a lifelong paycheck for murdering an innocent civilian.

Im guessing Ill get some shit for this take, but if this is what the officer was instructed to do in a situation like this, then the problem lies with the training and not the cop.

Dont get me wrong, this killing (it was a killing) is wrong and seemed to be 100% avoidable (why not just cuff him when he is face down, hands on his head? why have him crawl to you?), but the cop in this situation could probably get in much greater trouble if he veered off from his training on how to handle the situation.

Again, I dont think a killing was warranted at all, but if the cop was trained to take these steps in this situation, then the fault is with the (IMO) bad training that is being taught.

I dont think theres anything that suggests he was following protocol. He was initially fired, after all.

The shooter wasnt the one giving the ludicrous commands (it was the other officer), but there was still nothing that Daniel Shaver did that warranted shooting him.

I dont know enough about the details of why he was fired. I was going off the CNN report where the reporter was saying that various investigations said he followed the rules (something to that effect).

Daniel Shaver had a history of brutality and excessive force complaints. His AR dust jacket had "You're Fucked" engraved it. He knew before he got to the scene he was gonna execute that kid.

That seems likely, but I have a correction Philip Brailsford was the shooter, Daniel Shaver was the victim who got shot and killed.
