So many good one liners. The beginning was hype af and sets the tone for Achilles. I wish we got more greek movies akin to it

Just an overall great scene. Hector trying to make a pact, Achilles responding with "there are no pacts between lions and men". Fight choreo was great too.

I generally liked Troy when it first came out. I dont know if Id still like it now, but youre right that it has a lot of good lines, which are somewhat cheesy yet appropriate for the setting.

My favorite quote was from Achilles when he was explaining to Briseis about how the gods actually envy mortals. Its similar to the scene in Fight Club when Tyler explains that Raymond K. Hessel will enjoy his life more after Tyler had threatened to kill him.

That's actually my favorite quote in the whole movie. Something like

"Let me tell you a secret. Something they don't teach you in your temples. The Gods envy us. They envy us because we're mortal, because any day may be our last. Everything is more beautiful because we are doomed. You will never be lovelier than you are now. We will never be here again."
