Now it's super common That's basically the problem with modern wrestling in general; powercreep made the wrestlers gods pretty much. Back in the day the top guy had a kick and a leg drop as the top of the mountain of devastating moves. Now you got guys doing a billion backflips off the top rope and slamming a guy to China through the Earth, just for them to kick out at 2. Stone Cold Steve Austin consistently complains on his podcast that too many people kick out of finishers these days. Finishes are supposed to finish a match, and when they don't, it devalues them. I just came to realize wrestling isn't for me anymore. It just doesn't hold up under close scrutiny, and as an adult I can't let as many things go as when I was a kid. That is a very true statement. Like I'm a huge nxt fan, but the amount of "he just kicked out of the fuckinator 3000!?!?" that happens is so so bad.
