Adventure 2 still holds up pretty well honestly, some jank but it plays competently enough. For $2 you're getting some pretty decently sized games. Gobstoppers12 10/16/20 4:03:00 AM #18:	Adventure 1 has a really fun story and setting, and the way the different characters' adventures weave in and out of each other's paths is pretty enjoyable to experience. It's my favorite Sonic game, easily. There's some awkwardness, but the original Dreamcast version is joyful. I think the PC version is a bit buggier because it's based off the Gamecube port, but I can't be sure since I've never played it. Adventure 2 got too cute with its stage design, and Tails/Eggman levels are pretty frustrating sometimes, but it's got a pretty good story and Shadow is still the king of edge. --- I write Naruto Fanfiction. Sonic Adventure aged a little better IMO, mainly because the stage design is still heavily weighted towards speed levels with Sonic and Tails, and the other play types being shorter campaigns. If it came out at that time, and was on the Dreamcast, that is the one you wanted. ((It's a little different here because we are talking Sonic...so of coarse. Any of the non-Sonic/Shadow levels are trash and filler. They're actually much worse in SA2, too, and the fact you're forced to switch among the gameplay styles in that game is terrible; at least you could first play all the Sonic levels before going to the other ones in SA1. And Sonic/Shadow have a lot of shitty levels themselves. SA1? Only fun levels are Emerald Coast, Windy Valley, Speed Highway and Red Mountain. Casinopolis is trash with the pinball minigame. Ice Cap is slow paced trash. Twinkle Park is ruined by the kart racing in the beginning; shame, because the rest of the level is alright. Sky Deck is an all around mess. Lost World is a slow paced, boring mess of puzzles. And Final Egg is just bland. SA2? City Escape, Metal Harbor, Green Forest, Final Rush, Radical Highway, White Jungle and Sky Rail are bliss. Pyramid Cave, Crazy Gadget and Final Chase, on the other hand, are just fucking trash. And the hubs are boring filler. Wow. They're actually much worse in SA2, too, and the fact you're forced to switch among the gameplay styles in that game is terrible; at least you could first play all the Sonic levels before going to the other ones in SA1. And Sonic/Shadow have a lot of shitty levels themselves. SA1? Only fun levels are Emerald Coast, Windy Valley, Speed Highway and Red Mountain. Casinopolis is trash with the pinball minigame. Ice Cap is slow paced trash. Twinkle Park is ruined by the kart racing in the beginning; shame, because the rest of the level is alright. Sky Deck is an all around mess. Lost World is a slow paced, boring mess of puzzles. And Final Egg is just bland. SA2? City Escape, Metal Harbor, Green Forest, Final Rush, Radical Highway, White Jungle and Sky Rail are bliss. Pyramid Cave, Crazy Gadget and Final Chase, on the other hand, are just fucking trash. And the hubs are boring filler.</quote> Wow.
