I think it's good. Looks good but they didn't too much else with it. Definately enjoying it more than other games this gen. Having a cohesive story and gameplay and all of that is underrated today. They didn't break the bank outside of that though. They could have really gone all out.

How did they not break the ban?

Remade from the ground up.
New voice acting.
New scenes
Proper Mini map and other stuff to bring it up to modern standards.

It feels unpolished even still compared to a game like Ghosts of Tsushima. Rough around the edges. It's not reinventing the wheel but neither game is. Pretty comparable games though. Ghosts might be better and a full realization of what they can do with what is out there.

I enjoy mafia more because I like the atmosphere and time period, story and driving vs riding a horse. Still i wish they had more quality content.

Also why I'm not getting the hype for ps5. The ps4 has enough power where if they put in more time making the city more alive. Cyberpunk is going to do that. Ghosts is more the status quo. I think this game is somewhat a step behind. But still solid.

As far as open world games it's close to GTA V or Red Dead but not quite. Probably the most enjoyable though due to how the story plays out. It's still a bunch of cutscenes though and not rewriting the wheel.
