They did this same shit at the eye doctor a few days ago. Receptionist wearing mask, I go up to sign in and stuff, she pulls down her mask to talk to me. Then at the end mentions how she gets worried that customers might have covid. This was at a medical facility. Several of the people there also had their nose sticking out above the top of the masks. Like...

I see a similar thing at work too, and have resorted to telling customers, "Oh, I can hear you just as well with your mask on. Why don't you try again?"

Some people talk loud enough, and just need to do a better job enunciating their damned words in a clear and efficient manner so they can be understood, rather than sounding like someone who is mumbling gibberish at the top of their lungs every two to five words. Like, dude, volume and mask are not the problem here, I assure you. Don't just spew random noises halfway similar to intended words, and expect it to work for everyone, especially in a place where there is actual noise in the background.

Can attest to this. This is a daily problem at my work; people will walk straight up to me and pull their fucking mask down and start talking, so I have to back myself into a corner and argue with them for 30 seconds about them pulling it back up and backing away from me.
