Because they just use it as a crutch for we want the face / underdog to win without making the heel look weak. So you can't even use it correctly now because it's so overused in bad scenarios

I just don't know how you can expect anyone to be invested when that's the 3 hours of content you are putting out. Maybe I just picked a bad week to watch but it seemed I could have learned everything I needed to know about that episode by reading like 3 sentences and not wasting 3 hours

There's a contingent of fans of the product that will be invested and watch literally no matter what, and Vince is content with that number if it lets him basically play out all of his action figure fantasies with the real human beings he employs.

Completely unrelated but how is it 2020 and I'm only just realizing Orton is 6ft 5. I always assumed he was like 6ft but after seeing the ridiculous height difference between him and Alexa Bliss (who I know is really small) when she squared up to him I had to look it up

I find myself looking forward to Winter is Coming more than I have for any wrestling show in a while.

I think it's the combo of not-WWE so it might be a good show, and not-PPV because $50 makes it hard to get excited. But a big free AEW show sounds really good right now.

Sting signing a Multi-Year Deal with AEW felt almost like something TNA would do over a decade back. I know Sting will be utilised well in angles/promos (where I expect/hope will be his main use and not for wrestling at this point), but I got "Legend to TNA" vibes from it for some reason.

So naturally, that gets followed with the revelation that AEW and IMPACT are now working together.

My wife said that they should just have Sting hanging out in the rafters/upper seats for the length of his contract. Just watching and almost never getting involved in any way.

Honestly I'd be ok with that. We at least need a Dynamite where they cut to Darby hanging out watching from above, then the camera moves up to show Sting even higher up watching Darby.

Most of my predicted matches seem likely to happen, and ideally after SD tonight, a triple threat tag team match could be among Street Profits, Roode/Ziggler, and Cesaro/Nakamura.

Also the Forgotten Sons are back onscreen again as Corbin's new henchmen

AEW did 103,000 viewers in males 18-34

AEW did 78,000 in females 18-34

The show [Raw] did 77,000 viewers in males 18-34, 115,000 in women 18-34

I think thats a very slight win for Raw

Maybe the reports you saw were the viewership demos converted to ratings points, since I imagine more people are watching TV on Monday nights due to MNF which would lower Raws overall share of the demo for the evening
